Friends of Lucas County Dogs Volunteer Information
The Friends group relies on dedicated volunteers to help make a difference for Lucas County Dogs. There are many opportunities to volunteer within the Friends group. Please read the list of opportunities below and reply with your areas of interest or specialty.
Event Volunteer
- Talk to potential donors, educate the public on the Friends of Lucas County Dogs mission and how it ties in with the mission and goals of LC4 (Lucas County Canine Care & Control). Sell promotional items, hand out and discuss educational and informational documentation. Load and unload materials and supplies and set up and take down event items.
Special Event Volunteer
- Assist with fundraisers, information tables, festival booths, special projects such as dog paintings

- Blogging, Facebook, Instagram
- Writing campaign for donors, sponsors, grants, letters and more
- Marketing campaigns
- Special Programs – Assisting with administration
